MapmyIndia launches 3D navigator

MapmyIndia has launched Zx250, India's first portable 3D navigator which offers an augmented reality-like experience with full 3D landmarks, 3D buildings and 3D elevation across hills and mountains.

The navigator offers house-level search, built-in city and travel guides, detailed trip computer and turn-by-turn voice instructions. The 12.7 cm touch screen device has a music player, movie player and digital photo frame with in-built memory of 2GB, with an expandable SD card memory slot of 8GB.

It wirelessly streams both music and navigation instructions to the car audio system over a user chosen FM frequency. The device also connects with a phone over bluetooth, enabling hands-free calling, and also has an ambient light sensor, automatically adjusting screen brightness according to surroundings.

Powered by Aura, the company's latest full-featured 3D navigation software, it offers an augmented reality-like experience.

Zx250 will have the latest MapmyIndia Maps v7.0 including premium content which offers unprecedented map details covering house-level maps for 36 cities, 20 cities in full 3D, over 6.3 million places, 3D landmarks across India, street-level maps for 4,000 cities and all 576,000 towns and villages connected via 1.79 million km of highway and road network.
