MAIT appoints Anwar Shirpurwala as Executive Director

Manufacturers' Association for Information Technology (MAIT), the apex body representing the interest of IT hardware industry in India brings Anwar Shirpurwala on board as its new Executive Director with effect from 16th October 2012. Sabyasachi Patra is being replaced by Anwar as he heads to pursue his passion of wildlife filming and conservation issues full time.

In his prior stints, Anwar was the Manager Government Affairs, retail business manager at Canon India. Between April 2011 and November 2011, he was the acting executive director of MAIT. Anwar comes with a diverse experience of 15 years in IT training, sales and marketing, retail and govt affairs.
