Mahindra Satyam appoints Niraj Vedwa as global head

Mahindra Satyam on Monday appointed Niraj Vedwa as global head for banking, payments and cards.

Niraj has over 26 years of experience in the IT industry and close to 16 years in BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) area. At Mahindra Satyam he will be responsible to grow and support the existing businesses and also to strategize and incubate new service offerings in the above market segments.

Ravi Vasantraj, head, BFSI, Mahindra Satyam said, "Niraj brings to the table rich experience in the Banking and Financial Services vertical. His expertise will help the Mahindra Group to scale-up the operations and establish ourselves as a leader in BFSI space, as we foster innovation and deliver service excellence to our customers."

Niraj Vedwa, global head, banking, payments and cards, Mahindra Satyam said "It will be my key focus area to develop innovative services offerings, acquire new customers and grow existing relationships."

Niraj, before joining Mahindra Satyam was with Temenos AG Switzerland, the global leader in core banking and private banking products, where he was the director, global consumer banking and member of management board.

Prior to Temenos, he was the chief operating officer of Nucleus Software where he ran the company and 6 subsidiaries with P&L responsibilities.
