Maharashtra, MBT Sign MoU

The state of Maharashtra and Mahindra-British Telecom (MBT) have

signed an MoU for the development of an integrated software development and

residential complex at Hinjewadi, Pune. The campus can house more than 18,000

engineers. It would involve an outlay of approx Rs 300 crore. An additional 1 mn

sq ft of residential space has been requested, for a residential park. Pune has

also designated the 'most favored IT destination status' by the Government

of Maharashtra, which has been heavily promoting Pune as the next IT capital of

the country.
