LinkedIn moves into a bigger office in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: LinkedIn has moved to a new office in Bengaluru, which is now located in Global Technology Park. The new office will house functionally diverse LinkedIn employees in Bangalore, from product and sales teams.

The press release says that the new premise is almost double the size of its previous one and this innovative workplace has an area of 222,000 square feet spread across three floors. The new office interiors display local Indian themes and motifs while being perfectly in sync with the company’s offices globally. It includes multiple collaboration spaces, informal meeting lounges, wellness centre, recreation areas (including music room and games), contemporary cafeteria and several small bistros.

Kothari says that their new office is designed to enhance collaboration, cooperation, team work, innovation and creativity. There are eight collaboration spaces which are elegantly designed and encourage open communication and constructive ideation between employees. The ergonomic workstations, specially designed for LinkedIn, meet every comfort need of the employees and help them in being more productive as a team. LinkedIn’s new office design provides spaces for relaxation and rejuvenation, both physically and emotionally, in line with the organization’s Global Wellness Program for employees. The office has a fully-equipped gym, music room with drum-sets, guitar and tabla as well as game rooms with table tennis, foosball and snooker table. One of the highlights’ of the facility is the high-end cafeteria that consists of live counters and serves multi-cuisine meals throughout the day. Overall, the design of the new office reflects LinkedIn’s global culture of transformation, collaboration and humor.

LinkedIn says that it encourages employees to ‘Act like an Owner’ with regard to every decision that the company makes. So LinkedIn involved employees in designing the workstations, the collaborative spaces and the wellness amenities.
