LG unveils two new optimus smartphones

LG Electronics has launched two new smartphones-Optimus PRO and Optimus NET, running on the Android 2.3 OS in the Indian market.

The Optimus PRO has the combination of touch and QWERTY keypad, and allow users to read and write up to 16 lines with its portrait touch screen of 2.8-inch display, compared to 8-10 lines in the conventional landscape display screen, said the company.

Priced at Rs 9,599, the device also comes with a 3 MP camera and support for Wi-Fi and GPS.

The Optimus NET, enable the users to converge the updates, events of social networking portals into one convinient widget on the homescreen, with its feature ''Social+''.

The phone also enables the users to multitask between updating there status while reading there friends' social media feeds on the same screen simultaneously.The company has kept the phone's price at Rs 10,999.
