Lava to launch Android KitKat based Iris X1 smartphone

Indian company, Lava said that it will launch its new handset, powered by the latest Android KitKat, for under Rs 8,000 this week in domestic market.

"The new smartphone is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. It has a 4.5 inch IPS display.The device is designed to offer all features that ensure easy multi-tasking and high quality media output with an 8MP rear camera," a statement said.

"Riding on the success of its Iris Pro series, Lava is really upbeat about this offering and plans to launch the phone in the next few days with a pan India 360 degree marketing campaign," it said.
