Karbonn forays into budget android space with Titanium S99

Home grown smartphone maker Karbonn has entered into the budget android category with its new Karbonn Titanium

S99, priced at Rs 5,990, which is likely to give a tough competition to Motorola’s Moto E.

Targeted at the tier-I& II consumers, the phone is powered by the Android KitKat, 512MB RAM and 1.3 GHz Quad core

CPU. It has a 5 Mega Pixel Rear Camera and a digital front camera for video calling. With an internal storage of

4GB, it comes with expandable memory up to 32GB to save and browse a user’s audio-visual content and files.

Embedded with a dual SIM Support along with the 3G connectivity, the phone comes with a 1400 mAh battery that

helps the user to connect with the world for longer periods.

The Karbonn Titanium S99 offers a range of networking options and utilities like GPS navigation, G-Sensor,

proximity and Wi-Fi and other features.

It is available in black and white colors, and has an additional protective silicon case to protect it from

falls.

“The advantages of using Android OS, 4.4 KitKat are numerous. It takes system performance to a whole new level

by offering better memory management. It provides all-in-one solution to user’s communication needs by providing

upgraded hangouts app supported with improved SMS and MMS integration. In addition, Android KitKat includes a

variety of new features like smarter Caller ID, faster multitasking, low-power location monitoring,

redesigned downloads app and easy home screen switching to name a few,”said Shashin Devsare, executive director

of Karbonn.

The phone will give tough competition to Motorola’s Moto E, which was a hit as retailers ran out of its stocks

just few days after its availability. Priced at Rs 6,999, Moto E is the cheapest smartphone from Motorola’s kitty.
