Mumbai-based Juniper Networks has opened its new technical center at Bangalore. This is the fourth such center for company, which has a staff strength of 1,500 worldwide, and will employ 27 engineers. The new facility would handle the testing and software development activities of the company, according to Juniper Networks executive vice-president for product development, Ashok
Krishnamurthi.
Speaking at a press meet, Mr Krishnamurthi said, "The Bangalore center will emerge as the technical hub for our Asia Pacific activities. The core activities here will include the testing and software development for our equipment."
The company's customer service director for Asia Pacific, Paul McNulty, said that the firm was planning to expand its technical certification program targeted at IP engineers in India.
The company, Mr McNulty said, was currently looking for training partners for the same in India.
