JRDC Introduces Quick Deploy Units

Jag Rattan Daan and Singh & Co (JRDC), one of the players which offers BTS installation services, has introduced a new kind of installation services of BTS towers for remote areas known as 'Quick Deploy Units'. Such systems will ensure reduced time for deployment as well as follow-up.

Quick Deploy systems are aimed at remote locations where ground based towers are required. The assembly is done in the factories or manufacturing units first, and then transported by road to the site where these are required. “The normal delivery and installation time of BTS towers takes one to three weeks, while these quick deploy units are erected in a week,” said Prem Naidu, CEO, JRDC.

The advantage of ready made units like Quick Deploy is that the total time to get the tower up and running is less. The only time required is the transportation time. “After the order is placed, it takes maximum of five days to be delivered and another day to be installed at the site,” explained Naidu. Otherwise, for remote locations and ground based towers, the follow-up time is high.

“We have plants in both North and South India-one in Greater Noida, and the other in Pondicherry, respectively,” he said. “This helps us in covering clients PAN India effectively and efficiently, and also in offering customers a very economical and competitive price,” he further added.

Participating here in Convergence 2010, he expressed that he “Hopes to achieve 30% growth” in the upcoming financial year. The clients of JRDC include big players in the market like Airtel, Aircel, Idea and Vodafone. “Recently the telecom area has witnessed an increased influx of operators who are interested in entering the market and cashing in on the growth of the sector. We see a growth of around 40-50% of the telecom sector in India in the upcoming future, and also aim to tap the opportunities that the growth might usher in,” he added.

“Our company also assures after-sales services, which include schemes like annual maintenance, erection and demolition of towers,” he added. Apart from the new Quick Deploy services, JRDC has a cell-on-wheel service which can be deployed within two hours. The company also caters to overseas clients for the rental of BTS towers.
