Jazztel, ZTE ready for 10G PON commercial launch

ZTE has completed the first commercial 10G PON full-service test for Spanish operator Jazztel. The GPON and 10G PON co-existence test demonstrated that ZTE's 10G PON solution is both backward and forward compatible and capable of supporting any service under all foreseeable scenarios.

Jazztel selected ZTE to build a national high-speed broadband FTTH network in November 2012 and the network began commercial operation in October, 2013. ZTE provided Jazztel with an end-to-end turnkey solution that includes a full range of services including equipment, engineering and maintenance.
