Elitecore recently procured two new orders from tier-1 telecom operators for its NetVertex PCRF solution. Who are these operators and how exactly this solution will facilitate 3G broadband, WiMax and LTE?
Elitecore Technologies has won two new contracts in India for its policy management product line, NetVertex. With these projects, Elitecore has enabled service providers to offer their broadband subscribers new service plans that include bandwidth on-demand features, tiered price plans, fair access and application (P2P, FTP, HTTP, SMTP) based quota management and charging policies. NetVertex can be deployed in a 3G/WiMax or LTE network; and is compliant to 3GPP Release 8 (PCRF), WiMax PCC and ETSI TISPAN standards with redundant and failover deployment architecture. NetVertex is a service aware intelligent policy manager that brings intelligence into the network to make policy enforcement decisions based on services, applications, network resources, subscriber profile, SLA & application to ensure end-to-end QoS & charging in real-time.
What is Elitecore doing to increase WiMax penetration in rural areas? Will it help 3G broadband in rural areas?
We are working with operators to provide cost-effective solutions to enable them to roll out WiMax services in rural areas. Elitecore has IOT with leading WiMax vendors, ASN gateways, OMA DM server, device and CPE manufacturers. This enables SPs to roll out services quickly, gives freedom to operate in a multi-vendor ecosystem and choose from the best of the breed solutions. For 3G broadband, we have a pre-integrated offering of PCRF and charging, which again enables service providers roll out services quickly. We are also focused on IOT for 3G. We are expecting more 3G rollouts in urban areas, while it appears that 2G shall remain more prominent in rural areas.
Elitecore had launched an IPTV solution a while ago. Now with 3G coming in, are there any plans by Elitecore to push this solution to boost the failing IPTV market in India?
IPTV can be delivered over a WiMax network. The currently available triple play combo plans of IPTV, Internet and VoIP on a wireline network may also get replicated on a WiMax network. IPTV is among the best technologies for subscribers for TV viewing. With the rollout of next generation services-all on IP, we believe that IPTV will also gain potential traction in the market with new service plans and availability of a better TV viewing experience.
What is the total investment for the Indian market planned by Elitecore for the next one to two years?
Elitecore plans to invest `145-150 crore in the Indian market in the next one to two years for infrastructure development and hiring of professionals for our telecom and network security product lines.
