Intex launches i-Tab

Intex Technologies forays into Indian tablet market with the launch of i-Tab. Intex is planning to expand its tablet portfolio in the coming months with the introduction of newer models with in-built 3G as well as other form factors such as the 7” and 10” model.

i-Tab is priced at Rs 11,900. It is bundled with 3G data card, a LAN adaptor, a leather cover and a pair of Reebok sunglasses at no extra cost, as a promotional activity. i-Tab is a 8 inch tablet and it functions on 2.3 version of the Android operating system.

The i-Tab is powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 core processor which is supported by a 512 MB DDR3 RAM. It comes with features such as 8” capacitive two point touch screen display, in-built GPS software supported by Google Maps, 8GB memory capacity which is expandable upto 32GB and 360 degree G-Sensor feature.

The tablet is powered by a 5000 mAh battery giving it a back up of 5-6 hours. Pre-loaded applications such as the Adobe Reader, Android Market and popular games like Angry Birds, Solitaire, Talking Tom etc. are also present in the tablet. It weighs 475 grams. Connectivity options include in-built Wi-Fi support. It also connects with a 3G network by using the Intex dongle, which is offered along with the product.
