India adds close to 17 million wireless users in July

The number of telephone subscribers in India increased to 688.38 Million at the end of July 2010 from 671.69 Million in June-2010, thereby registering a growth rate of 2.49%. With this, the overall Tele-density in India reaches 58.17.

Wireless subscriber base increased from 635.51 Million in June-2010 to 652.42 Million at the end of July-2010 registering a growth of 2.66%. Wireless Tele-density stands at 55.14.
