IGNOU goes mobile

Ericsson has partnered with IGNOU to build a 3G environment for students to download IGNOU course content. They can also get mobile SMS alerts on their mobile devices. Professor V N Rajshekharan, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU said,“ Our university is founded on the idea that the education should be offered to less advantage sections of society. With Ericsson's help, we will create a learning platform that uses mobile devices to build educational excellence and exchange information. OU students will benefit from the flexibility of learning at their own pace, anytime, anywhere.”
