International Commission on Non—Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) has issued a statement in respect of the validity of the present radio frequency safety recommendations for limiting exposure to electromagnetic fields up to 300 GHz.
“The recent in vitro and animal genotoxicity and carcinogenicity studies are overall consistent and indicate that such effects are unlikely at low levels of exposure. Therefore, ICNIRP reconfirms the 1998 basic restrictions in the frequency range of 100 —300 GHz for the moment,” the statement said.
