IBM has launched its airport solutions lab in New Delhi, which according to the company is the first-of its kind center in the Asia Pacific region.
The lab is co-located with the company's research and India industry solutions labs, and will be a center to demonstrate the company's technology innovations and solutions for airports and airlines.
''Airports need smarter solutions to revitalize their processes and ensure better business growth as with rising capacity demands, they are facing challenges in providing enhanced customer services, reducing costs, and increasing revenue,'' said the company.
''The solutions, along with IBM’s proven industry knowledge and implementation capabilities, will help airports get unmatched value in their efforts to enhance operational efficiency and customer services,'' said P. Indira Rani, VP, distribution sector, IBM India/South Asia.
The corporate giant is already providing solutions like Airport operations management solution, smart airport enabler, intelligent operations center etc to aviation industry.
