Hughes Sets up DirecWay Fusion

Hughes Escorts Communications Limited (HECL) has launched DirecWay Fusion - a new concept in the Indian retail space - to deliver a basket of services ranging from prepaid and post paid payment services covering bill payments, ticketing and e-governance, education, broadband Internet etc. HECL plans to roll out about 500 Fusion Centers in the neighborhood format by the end of 2003 fiscal and to take DirecWay Fusion to 200 more Indian towns and cities by end-2005, taking the total number to 5000 across the country.
