Huawei has unveiled Automatic Neighbor Relation (ANR) feature on LTE networks in Cologne, the fourth largest city of Germany.
The ANR function automatically manages and optimizes the relationship of neighbor cells, improving the efficiency of operation and maintenance and reducing the operating expenses.
The Chinese company has launched the feature commercially on the LTE network in the city. The LTE network in Cologne was officially launched by Huawei for commercial use in April, 2011. ANR is able to reach a handover success rate of 99 percent when network performance is stable.
It supports automatic management and optimization of neighbor relations for networks that feature multiple modes and layers, improving the efficiency of network deployment, and also reducing labor costs.
