Huawei to construct CDMA WLL Network in Pakistan

BANGALORE: Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. has announced that it has been
selected by Worldcall Group, one of the emerging telecom groups in Pakistan, to
deploy a CDMA WLL network in Karachi and Hyderabad in southern Pakistan.

In the turnkey project, Huawei will provide Worldcall Telecommunications with
civil engineering, infrastructure deployment, management and optimization.
Worldcall Telecommunications Group is one of the largest private telecom
operators in the country. Over and above the telecom businesses, the
conglomerate of Worldcall Group owns a mix of financial services, print and
media and retail businesses. 

The new CDMA WLL Network will be built on Huawei's CDMA softswitch solution
and its leading 450/479MHz BTS, which offers advantages of abundant network
capacity, advanced technology and low operation costs. Based on its
controller-and-bearer-separated architecture, Huawei's CDMA softswitch
solution enhances network security, reduces transmission costs and provides
large capacity for operators.
