HTC has posted a revenue of NT$101.42 billion for the fourth quarter of 2011, with a decrease of 2.49 percent on year-on-year (YoY) basis.
The net income of the company for the quarter reached NT$10.94 billion, with gross and operating margin contributing 27.12 percent, and 12.71 percent respectively.
The revenue of the Taiwanese handset manufacturer for the year 2011 reached NT$ 465.79 billion, increasing 68 percent YoY, compared to the revenue of NT$278.76 billion in 2010. The net profit for the year too increased to NT$61.98 billion, from NT$39.53 billion in the year 2010, with a growth of 56.77 percent.
The company expects its first quarter revenue, for the year 2012 to lie around NT$65-70 billion, because of its product transition. The gross and operating margin too are forecasted to be low for the quarter.
HTC expects margins to normalize when product transition is over.
