GVF and Iraq Telecom Discuss Access to Iraq

The Global VSAT Forum (GVF) held a workshop with Iraq Telecom, in Beirut, regarding the regulation of satellite communications in Iraq. The workshop was held during 8-11 March 2004. It was attended by public- and private-sector interests involved in the Iraqi satellite communications market. Several of these participants have signed contracts for services
in Iraq. 

A GVF initiative is now underway to improve Iraq's market-access conditions for the satellite communications industry.
