GreenTek Reman sets up E-waste facility

GreenTek Reman, one of the leading end-to-end electronic waste (E-waste) recycling company has announced the commissioning of its new state-of-the-art plant at Greater Noida.

Spread over an area of 25,000 square feet with another 20,000 square feet under construction phase, the plant with its most modern machinery and a dedicated workforce, will be able to process 9,000 metric tonne of E-waste per annum. The company is focusing on both ICT and non ICT waste.

In ICT waste, the company is planning to recycle desktop, laptop, server and mobile and on non-ICT the focus is on electrical bulbs, CFL bulbs, consumer durables and others.

The company has a manpower of 60-70 people looking after the plant. For the efficient working of the plant, the company has deployed an internal logistic team in place for whole northern circle with the rest of India being taken care by partner logistic companies with whom the company has entered into agreement.

Our 20,000 square feet plant at Greater Noida can handle the complete processing of waste and also provide client friendly solutions like pickup of E-waste from the client premises and complete data security. Our plant is fully operative to cater to every requirement of the market”, reveals Subir Bajaj, founder, GreenTek Reman.

We are also looking forward to install 5 to 6 more plants to cultivate e-waste zones across the country, this will aim at managing the challenges of sustainable solutions for the e-waste problem in India”, he added.

The company is planning to set up facility in Mumbai, Bangalore/ Chennai and Kolkata in the next 1-2 years. The company in order to provide a safe environment for both the workers and others, has ensured that all the safety procedures at the plant are complete and got all the necessary clearances from the authorities such as the UP Pollution Control Board for recycling of E-waste and clearance from the Ministry of Environment & Forests.

The company has also got other certifications for this plant like ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001:2008 & OHSAS 18001:2007.
