Google Maps for Mobile on WiFi

Google maps on Android version can be availed now. Google Maps 5 (GM5) has 3D maps and offline navigation. 3D maps are not available in all countries yet, but it is a big leap forward. It is accessible only in 100 cities. A users should swipe two fingers from top to bottom of the maps, and voila: 3D maps. The compass mode is another notable feature. Tapping on the compass button activates this mode and interfaces the maps with the digital compass to give real time orientation and direction in 3D.

The features include 3D maps for high-end devices, a compass mode and offline map for navigation. The offline maps caching is a significant addition from a functional standpoint. Good Maps for Mobile can now be used to store map data on the device and it will work even when data services are not available.
