The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), Department of Information Technology works to ensure that the Government uses technology to optimize business processes and maximize efficiency of its departments.

"GNCTD had over 130 departments, including the Department of IT (DoIT), having their own websites hosted either by the National Informatics Center or a third-party vendor. As a result, the DoIT experienced challenges in content consistency when updating or maintaining the sites, leading to legal and compliance risk issues. In light of these concerns, DoIT sought a centralized web content management solution to link each departments website to a single location, which would help simplify the updates process and maintain regulatory compliance," said GNTCD.

Rajendra Kumar, Secretary, Department of Information Technology said, "With IBMexpertise and industry-proven solutions, we have been able to significantly increase operational efficiency while reducing the overall time and cost involved in maintaining the websites. IBM solution also lets us maintain the required regulatory compliance and improve accessibility through centralized management platform and web portal. IBM ensured that the entire implementation process was carried out seamlessly.

Himanshu Goyal, Country Manager - IBM Social Business & Collaboration Solutions IBM Software Group, India / SA, said, "We are seeing a tremendous interest from the public sector in using social media to make the government more accessible to citizens by engaging them in interactive dialogs. This enables the DoIT to tailor and develop new programs and services, enhance marketing campaigns and outreach activities."

He further added, "Its an honour for us to be working on such a prestigious project alongside the Department of IT for Delhi Government. We would also like to congratulate our partners for successful designing and implementation of the solution.
