Global Tele-Systems posted a turnover of Rs 754.15 crore, a
growth of 21 percent as compared with Rs 625.2 in the previous fiscal. A major
chunk of its revenue was from software services which includes consultancy, IPR,
and products. Engineering services chipped in with Rs 254.83 crore, which
includes turnkey telecom network projects and the management of networks.
Global has structured its business into three different
lines, namely enterprise network services, telecom engineering group, and
software and application services. Apart from enabling corporates to create
Intranets and Internet VPNs, enterprise network services group offers data
center services, corporate messaging and complete network management services.
Global’s telecom engineering services group designs,
engineers and commissions Basic and Cellular, Satcom, OFC, and Wired/Wireless
Networks. The group’s operations are multi-location, involving contract
negotiations for turnkey supply, installation, maintenance services for GSM/CDMA/Fiber
Optics requirements of Cellular Operators, Basic telecom Service operators,
multinational companies, Government Bodies and OSP contractors. The client list
includes Ericsson, Hughes Network Services, Motorola, Siemens and Lucent.
Software and Application Services (SAS) specialises in
offering software and e-commerce solutions.
