Freescale Semiconductor launches QorIQ Converge

Freescale has introduced QorIQ Converge, a integrated base station-on-chip portfolio built on multicore technology which can support all wireless telecom services at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. QorIQ Converge will support voice centric to data telecom services (including 4G). It will enable higher performance, lower cost, and improved power efficiency. Freescale's system on a chip supports from 8 to 64 multimode (WCDMA, LTE) users depending on the configuration.
