Free WiFi services in Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon

Sistema Shyam Tele Services(SSTL) that provides telecom services under the brand MTS on Wednesday said that it has partnership with Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL) to provide free WiFi services.

With this, the company to provide free internet services on all trains running on the 5.1 Km long six station corridor connecting Sikanderpur Metro station, Cyber City, DLF Phase 2, DLF Phase 3 and Ambience Mall.

"In addition to all Rapid Metro trains, MTS will also provide FREE WiFi access on four stations including Sikanderpur, IndusInd Bank Cyber City, Phase 2 and Micromax Moulsari Avenue. To promote the service amongst commuters of Rapid Metro, MTS would be offering WiFi service Free for a period of six months. Through this initiative, 30,000 daily commuters of Rapid Metro will get to experience internet speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps," a statement said.

"It is a proud moment for MTS as we flag off the first internet powered Rapid Metro in Gurgaon. This one of its kind service will enable commuters to access fast and consistent data speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps on MTS' 3GPLUS network. Through this initiative, MTS will be providing FREE internet access to about 30,000 travelers on a daily basis". Dmitry further added, "MTS India is also looking at opportunities to provide similar services in other public places including metros & educational institutes in other cities," said Dmitry Shukov, Chief Executive Officer - MTS India.
