Excitel partners with PlayboxTV to launch Entertainment Plan 2.0

Last week, Excitel announced its partnership with PlayboxTV Platform, a super OTT aggregator. With this partnership, the broadband service provider will provide its users access to PlayboxTV's catalog of OTT platforms. The broadband service provider has launched a new prepaid plan, called the Entertainment Plan 2.0.

Excitel Ups Its OTT Game, Launches New OTT Plans

In a press statement, Excitel said that its users will get access to platforms such as Amazon Prime. What's more, users will also get access to TV channels as well. The plan, which will come with 100 Mbps internet speed, with no FUP limits, for 3 months, will cost Rs. 799. Furthermore, the broadband company has said that the customers can upgrade by contacting support.

Interestingly, with broadband's primary use becoming OTT consumption, the company had launched an OTT entertainment plan. As such, the company has decided to call the new plan, Entertainment Plan 2.0, to present it as the next iteration. Interestingly, the first entertainment plan was an introductory offer. This plan, however, allows customers to continue having OTT benefits, along with the usual data benefits. Customers can also have the usual plan, without the OTT benefits. For the same download speed and validity, Excitel offers a normal plan at Rs. 565
