Elitecore deploys first nationwide LTE service in Bahrain

Telecom solutions provider Elitecore Technologies has implemented 4G LTE service in the kingdom of Bahrain, this is the first 4G LTE rollout across the country.

Bahrain-based telecom operator Menatelecom selected Elitecore for supporting up to 200,000 subscribers. Elitecore upgraded its WiMAX platform to support LTE + WiMAX components through cost-effective integration with third party Evolved Packet Core (LTE-EPC) components achieving smooth activation of multiple prepaid-postpaid services such as voice, data and bundled offerings in a duration of three months.

It offered a converged product portfolio enabling the operator to launch new LTE and WiMAX data and voice /IMS services on a single platform.

Elitecore is now operating Menatelecom’s BSS on a managed services basis to become the custodian of its IT system ensuring the implementation of the LTE platform and the migration of existing services.
