DoT Issues Notice to Reliance Infocomm

The department of telecommunications (DoT) has
issued a notice to Reliance Infocomm asking it to discontinue offering
roaming-like services on its WLL mobile phones within 30 days. However,
according to the Reliance Infocomm spokesperson, there will be no impact on the
service to customers, as it plans to move on to the new regime after the
stipulated period of 30 days.
