Convergence bill not before the winter session

It is now certain that the Convergence Bill that has been in the limbo for long would not be passed until the next winter session of the parliament. According the a top communications ministry official the bill will have to drafted again in order to accommodate several changes suggested by members of parliament in a recent meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on IT and Communications.
