New Update

Avaya and Tata Telecom have unveiled MultiVantage, an IP-based converged communication solution, for the Indian market. Targeted at the closed user group environments, the converged communication solution will be marketed to contact centers, educational institutes and organizations with multi-location operations. It would be able to integrate session-initiated protocol (SIP) to conduct multimedia communication sessions.

Avaya is already testing this solution with some of its US-based clients and is looking forward to partnering with service providers in India. However, Ajit Thatte, vice president of marketing and strategic alliances for Tata Telecom informed that, "Regulations in India do not allow to terminate IP calls on a PSTN, so we have a limited scope in the country."
