Comviva deploys Actian's Vectorwise soln

Actian has inked a deal with Comviva and it has offered Vectorwise analytic database to power customer value and retention solution for Comviva. This new solution enables telecom service providers to interactively analyze massive volumes of Call Detail Records (CDR) for understanding and acting on customer value and retention.

Ganesh Jayadevan, Head of Messaging and Business Solutions at Comviva said, “We selected Actian's Vectorwise analytic database, as it enabled our customers to analyze data 10 to 80 times faster and cost effectively. This allows operators to better understand customers, model pricing to optimize network usage, and help operators make faster decisions and decrease churn,” Jayadevan added.

The Vectorwise analytical database delivers great performance while optimizing for the x86 chip architecture on commodity hardware, said a press release.
