CommWorks to Open New Technology Center In India

CommWorks, a 3Com Company, announced  that it will open a new technology center in Bangalore, India, in November. The center will be set up and managed by Mascon Global. "As a regional technology hub of CommWorks, this center will be the primary interface  during  product development and support between the U.S. and our regional   customers  and  partners,"  said  Venkatesh  Koravadi,  Business Director of the center for CommWorks. "We evaluated different countries and locations in Asia and selected Bangalore because it offers a strong pool of telecom engineers and a host of technology partners." "By  eliminating  the time difference we can work more effectively with our regional  partners  and customers," said Chandru Bolaki, Technical Director of  the  center  for  CommWorks.  "The  center  will  initially provide the sustaining  R&D  for  our  market leading wireless access products. We have plans  to  grow  the  center  rapidly  and  execute significant development
projects across our product lines." "The  confidence  of  CommWorks  in extending their R&D efforts to the Asia Technology Center is a testimony to the technical competence of our team," said  Dr.  Ram  Udupa, President of Communications Technologies Division of Mascon.
