CES 2015 kick-starts in Las Vegas today
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is an annual tech event, kick started in Las Vegas, Nevada, today.
The event, to be held from January 6-9, is a yearly bonanza of gadgetry, tech giants, industry leaders, product launches. It is a forum to showcase technology for the next year and the years thereafter.
The general theme of CES 2015 can be broken down into the following main categories.
Wearables
There will be a deluge of smart watches, fitness trackers, wearable assistive devices and virtual reality headsets to be showcased at CES 2015.
The Internet of Things
The category will see innovations in products ranging from lights, locks, faucets, heaters, A/C, dog food, garage doors, windows and the list goes on.
4K and Ultra HD Televisions
CES has been a witness to the latest televisions manufactured by companies such as LG, Samsung, Sony, and Panasonic. This is year too, it is expected that some Ultra-HD OLED displays will make their way up for launch along with some new curved displays from the likes of Samsung.
