Cell, WLL Add 1.02 Crore Users in H1: TRAI

India is all set to achieve a teledensity of 7 percent by the end of this year, around 15 months ahead of the government target as mentioned in the National Telecom Policy (NTP '99). TRAI said the growth of 1.02 crore in the first half of the current financial year (April-September 2003) include 57 lakh cellular subscribers, 44.8 lakh wireless in local loop (WLL) subscribers and 20,000 fixed line subscribers.
