In order to check the 'mobile service kleptomaniacs', cellular companies have formed a consensus to strengthen defaulter database.
This is aimed at helping the mobile service-providers, including CDMA operators, share information about defaulters.
The sharing of database will not only help operators verify the applicant, it will also help operators avoid hiring professional collection agents who, at times, resort to violence for recovering the dues.
This would also mean customers would not have to go through multi-level verification system in order to subscribe to a new connection.
