Celkon Mobiles, a Hyderabad based mobile phone company, today said they have posted revenues of Rs 568 crore in FY13 compared to Rs 326 crore in the previous fiscal showing an impressive 74% growth.
The company is confident about gaining similar growth in the current fiscal and aims at doublig its revenue in FY13-14.
"We have been growing consistently for the last three years, and if we could maintain that, we can achive Rs 1200 crore by the end of this fiscal," Celkon Mobiles' Executive Director Murali Retineni said.
Since inception, just over three years now, the company has been growing at a faster rate than it had expected.
The company had clocked revenues of Rs 80 crore in the first year itself.
At present the Celkon Mobiles sells smartphones,tablets as well as feature phones, though they had started with just feature phones in January 2010.
However, over the years the company has started focusing more on smartphones as revenues from this segment is growing much faster than feature phones.
"In the last year, close to 25% of our revenue came from smartphone sales," Murali added.
The company, besides a Rs 1000 crore revenue, also aims at getting 50% of its revenue from smartphones at the end of this fiscal.
