New Update

Trai has recommended to DoT that the numbering scheme for full mobile services provided by basic operators, under unified telecom access license, should be at the same level as that of the cellular subscribers. If accepted, the telephone numbers of CDMA-based full mobile services will change to ten digit numbers, beginning with 9. Trai has further said that all unified access licensees should be directed to implement the numbering changes within 15 days from the date of acceptance of its recommendations. The regulator has also recommended that the numbering scheme for limited mobility services should be such that they can be easily distinguished from fixed or full mobile services by customers.
