Canon India appoints Kazutada Kobayashi as president & CEO

Canon has appointed Kazutada Kobayashi as the new president & CEO of Canon India.

Kobayashi will be replacing Kensaku Konishi, who now takes on his new role as the CEO of Canon Singapore, post his tenure as president & CEO at Canon India for 5years.

''I am excited and honored to take up this assignment. Especially this year, as Canon celebrates 15 years in India, a strong focus on a sales and channel expansion will augment Canon's image as a company that provides complete digital solutions and products to enterprise and consumer segments,” said Kobayashi.

He previously served as president and CEO of Canon Hong Kong, where he was responsible for overseeing the company's operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Macau, and Mongolia.

Kobayashi began his career with Canon immediately after he graduated from the Keio University's political science department's law faculty in Tokyo in 1980. He also looked for company’s various operations in Germany and the Netherlands.

''Kobayashi's global experience will further accelerate the knowledge and learning of the leadership team to help in moving up the ladder in our market leadership. The entire 1000 member team is excited to interact with him and learn from him,'' said Dr Alok Bhardwaj, senior VP, Canon India, on the appointment.
