Armed with a BE from University Visvesvaraya College of
Engineering Bangalore and MSEE from Veermata Jijabai Technical Institute,
University of Mumbai, Jagdeesh landed in the US in 1982. He worked for Novell
and 3Com before embarking on his own venture Fouress along with KB Chandrasekhar.
The company, which started off as a networking consulting soon transformed into
Exodus, considered to be the leader in the web-hosting market. He had to
mortgage his house and other assets to fund his company which created history.
At one point the market cap rose to $25 bn. He designed the original Exodus
Backbone Network and is currently responsible for technology direction and
assists business development in mergers and acquisitions. He has become an angle
investor who is always looking at helping young entrepreneurs and is on the
board of directors and advisory boards of several companies including NetScaler,
CyberBills, NexPrise, and Mirapoint. Jagdeesh is known for his generous
contributions for educational purposes in his home state of Karnataka.
