BSNL to set up information centers in Orissa

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is going to set up public information centers in all villages in Orissa, principal GM of BSNL Orissa circle S Bhargava informed. The centers will be equipped with having village centric data like agriculture, health, and sanitation to education and land records. The center will facilitate villagers to access information on wide range of subjects.

The center or the information kiosks would be connected with telephone line and Internet, Bhargava said.

BSNL at present has a subscriber base of 1,40, 000 the demand of about two lakh telephone connections in the state.
