BSNL has cut the STD rates with effect from January 14th to the tune of 60 percent.
There are only two time slabs, namely the peak period from 9 am to 8 pm and off peak period from 8 pm to 9 am. Also there would be only three distance slabs -- between 50 and 200 km, from 200 to 500 km, and 500 km and above.
The New Rates wef from January 14, 2002 is as follows:
