Brigade Corporation, global provider of business process outsourcing and customer relationship management solutions, is going aggressive with its BPO initiatives in India. The company has received $50 million investment commitment from General Atlantic Partners. The newly appointed President and VP-Offshore Operations, Sri Dasari, will head the Indian BPO functions.
Brigade, having four years experience in the BPO segment, will pump in a major share of its venture capital investment in its Chennai and Hyderabad centers, which currently have 800 seats. Their expertise in BPO extends to areas like customer relationship management, finance and accounting, human resources, non-production procurement, and the technology that supports these business processes.
Speaking during the press briefing, Raymond E Bayley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Brigade Corporation said that the ITeS segment will be driven by BPO initiatives and with the total ITeS market in India pegged at $21 billion by 2008, there is a tremendous potential for players like Brigade Corporation here. Their new strategy would be to acquire, transform and leverage each provided opportunity to create value in the BPO market.
