Bharti Telesoft, the telecom software arm of Bharti Enterprises, would now be
known as Bharti Telesoft International Ltd with the thrust now being on the
telesoft business of the company. The repositioning comes in the wake of a
merger with a start-up company called Cell Cloud, promoted by Anil Gajwani and
Ambar Sood, both of whom would join Bharti Telesoft as Chief Operating Officer
and Chief Marketing Officer respectively. Cell Cloud was a company developing
solutions in the Operation Support System and billing and customer care space.
Further, Bharti Telesoft International would have three areas of focus in
developing solutions which would be switching and network management headed by
Yogesh Sharma, web and wireless application headed by Amrandra Kumar and
customer care and billing headed by D Mohapatra. Some of the noteworthy projects
executed by the company till date include interconnect billing and mediation
solution for RailTel in Nigeria, subscriber local dialing for Bharti Cellular in
Delhi and MTN Cellular in Sri Lanka. Other projects include an application
alerting subscribers on missed calls in Uganda, also in trail by AirTel, Delhi
and an audio-conference facility on an IP network in South Korea.
