Bharti Hires Sachin as Brand Ambassador

Bharti has signed on batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador. The step has been taken keeping in mind the company's aggressive plans to lower long distance tariffs, which are expected to be announced by Diwali. Bharti expects to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) by increasing the usage of long distance and value-added services.
