Belden is back in action, with more vibrancy and an well-equipped strategy it dives into structured cabling market in India,. In the financial year, 2012-13, Belden had downsized its cabling operations in India as the cabling business turned pale.
Belden exited cabling market as the company degrew in the business. The company confessed that its operations were not set aptly. Earlier, the company had been sourcing products from high end cost centers from North America and Europe.
Chandramohan Joshi, business head, India/ SAARC, Belden asserted, "We will continue to be in cabling business. Along with our four divisions namely enterprise, industrial cables and connect, industrial IT and Broadcast; cabling segment will be in existence and there is no change in our strategy Earlier, getting products at market accepted price was an issue."
He further added that post the company's re-entry into cabling market, the company has been sourcing products from China to cater to the needs of APAC region. He also assured that the company ensures quality of products.
While speaking to Voice and Data, Chandramohan Joshi stated, "Belden has improvised channel strategy and has appointed over 40 systems integrators in India. We are aggressively tapping Data Center market."
"Volume is increasing and it is quite big in APAC region. In the past two months, we have bagged a deal worth $30,000-40,000 in India," he added.
