BASE, Tech Mahindra sign 5 yr agreement

BASE company, a subsidiary of KPN Group which provides digital television, Internet and fixed telephony services and Tech Mahindra have signed a five year managed service agreement. With this agreement BASE is broadening its partnership with Tech Mahindra to create highly efficient network operations for both network and IT.

As per the deal, Tech Mahindra will facilitate the operations and roll out of the BASE network in Belgium. This partnership will enable the company to realize the expansion and improvement of the network and achieve daily operational excellence in its network systems.

Tech Mahindra will also be responsible for other mobile site upgrades, maintenance, incident handling, site construction and data centre maintenance for multi-vendor 2G/3G and LTE networks.

Being a managed service partner, Tech Mahindra assures that it would not be biased towards any specific equipment vendor and will ensure excellent service management and customer experience for both network and IT with its global Network Operations Centre.

BASE company will retain ownership of the network and of the strategic network planning and development.

BASE, subsidiary of KPN Group, has a leading network position with its 3G dual carrier network supporting speeds of up to 42 Mbps. In addition, BASE has the aim to cover the majority of the country with LTE end-2014.
