Bangalore Cyber Security Summit commences on May 3rd

An annual cyber security summit, Bangalore Cyber Security Summit - 3rd edition, hosted by Depatmen of IT, B& ST, Government of Karnataka and KEONICS will kick off on May 3rd and 4th, 2012. This year's theme is 'Empowering Security in the Digital World.'

The summit intends to empower the security by educating and creating awareness to the various segments. The symposium will be inaugurated by R Ashoka, Home Minister of Karnataka and Suresh Kumar, Law Minister will preside.

The summit would bring together people from government, law enforcement, legal fraternity, corporate, banking, academia and IT on a single platform to share best practices and address the challenges in the cyber secuirty.

Hari Kumar Jha, IFS, managing director, Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation said that Bangaloe is an ideal spot for the summit as many IT companies are in Bangalore and it is regarded as a silicon valley of India. He also added that the summit will provide a platform for understanding the emerging treats, identify solutions and create a roadmap of actionable activity in cyber space.
